Empowering Gaza’s Children Through Education & Hope
The Afaq Learning and Child Protection Services Program (ALCPS) is dedicated to ensuring that every child, even amidst crisis and displacement, has access to quality education. Since September 2025, our team of committed local teachers has supported over 120 children, helping them continue learning despite severe challenges, including limited infrastructure and resources.
Learning during times of crisis
Ongoing displacement in Central Gaza has left thousands of children without access to safe, consistent education. In Western Nuseirat, 69 displaced children are currently learning in improvised classrooms that lack basic necessities—furniture, clean water, sanitation, educational materials, and protection from harsh weather.
Despite the commitment of local teachers and Ministry of Education accreditation, these conditions threaten children’s ability to learn, undermine their wellbeing, and place their safety at risk. Without immediate investment in safe, equipped learning spaces, displaced children face prolonged educational disruption and loss of critical psychosocial stability during an already traumatic period.
